What a Title!

This is getting to be a bit like Twitter, but in a newspaper article I am reading, there was a quote from a guy with this title:

執行役員メンズ館事業部長兼MD本部本店店舗事業商品部紳士服商品統括部担当

Talk about overkill.

Technically, wouldn’t you call that two titles, separated by 兼? (The second half would be plenty long all on its own, though, I don’t deny.)

兼 would be / as in “CEO/Director.” Still long though on both sides of the slash. He’s not just 社長 or 会長 or something.
